The Movement
Peace in the Wild reconnects Black people to nature. For generations, historical trauma, lack of representation, and unequal access have disrupted our relationship with the outdoors. We exist to restore it.
The Work
We reclaim our connection to nature through action:
Recreation - There is no single way to connect with nature. Through guided outdoor experiences, we help people discover what type of connection works best for them.
Education - Knowledge creates access. We share outdoor skills and environmental education that help people move through nature with confidence.
Stewardship - Reconnection comes with responsibility. We care for the land through service, restoration, and collective action.
Community - Nature should be accessible no matter where you live or what resources you have. We build connections online and offline that help people stay rooted in that.
