Who We Are

Peace in the Wild (PITW) empowers Black people across the diaspora to reconnect with nature through outdoor recreation. We break down barriers to access by organizing accessible adventures on land and water that foster skill-building, environmental stewardship, and community. Through our efforts, inspire a global movement to enjoy, conserve, and protect nature for generations to come.

What We Do

We organize monthly outdoor adventures and educational programs that emphasize culture, community, and conservation. Our activities—including kayaking, surfing, hiking, rock climbing, biking, and clean-up initiatives—welcome participants of all skill levels, ages, and abilities. Through these transformative experiences, we empower individuals to champion equitable access to the outdoors.

“Nature is one of the greatest pathways to healing and it is our birthright to explore the earth's natural wonders.”

- Taylor Crenshaw, Founder
